This is because by default Project Publisher will limit the size of the generated diagram image to maximum 4096 x 4096 px. Gateways is a BPMN notation used to control how a process flows. Connected by sequence flows, a gateway acts as a decision point that decides which (outgoing) sequence flow to take based on the result of the evaluation of condition(s) specified. According to the Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN)’s definition, only sequence flow will affect the flow of activities while message flow does not. On macOS 11 Big Sur open the diagram or model specification dialog may cause the application hang. The root cause is the Big Sur changed some behaviour on handling of non-modal dialog when application is run in full screen mode and this change affect most of the Java applications including Visual Paradigm. The following patch build solved this problem by turning the specification dialog to become modal by default.

A class diagram shows a set of classes, interfaces and their relationships and illustrates the static design view of a system, while a sequence diagram shows the sequence of actions that occurs in a system and illustrates the dynamic view of a system. With Visual Paradigm Desktop, you can easily share the models between class diagram and sequence diagram. The changes that made in the sequence diagram can be automatically added to the class diagram as well and vice versa.
