Visual Paradigm 17.2 Cannot Perform Code Synchronization with Eclipse 2024-09 Integration

You may receive complain that your Eclipse project is not a Java project when perform code generation/reverse engineering with Eclipse 2024-09 integration.

Fail to perform code synchronization

To solve this problem:

1. Shutdown your Eclipse.
2. Run the Visual Paradigm Update under the bin folder of Visual Paradigm installation directory.
   

   Run Visual Paradigm Update

3. Press the Update to latest patch button right after launching Visual Paradigm Update.
   

   Immediately press Update to latest patch once Visual Paradigm Update Launches

4. Follow the wizard to update the software to latest patch build (20240920bh or later).
   

   Update to patch 20240920bh or later build

5. Open Command Prompt and navigate to Eclipse installation directory.
6. Execute eclipse –clean command.
   

   Run Eclipse with -clean parameter

After that the code synchronization problem will be fixed. For next time you can launch Eclipse in normal way without the –clean command.
