Unable to upgrade Visual Paradigm to new version
I do have a valid license but being prompted I’m not entitle to upgrade to newer version:
This problem could have multiple causes…
Perpetual Single Seat License
For perpetual single seat license this problem could be caused by Visual Paradigm Update fail to connect to our Customer Server Center to check for upgrade license key. If you confirm your license is entitle for the upgrade to the target version you can then ignore the warning and proceed the upgrade. The only drawback is you may need to perform activation again when you run the upgraded version.
Perpetual Floating License
For perpetual floating license the license checking is against your floating license server (either self-hosted server or VP Online). If you haven’t upload new version license key to your license server then Visual Paradigm Update will not able to determine do you entitle for upgrade. You can login to your Customer Service Center account to download the new version floating license key and upload it to your license server. After that Visual Paradigm Update will able to perform update for you.
Subscription License
Similar to perpetual single seat license the problem could be caused by Visual Paradigm Update fail to connect to our Customer Service Center to check for upgrade license key. For subscription license user must entitle to version upgrade throughout the subscription period and therefore you can ignore the prompt and perform upgrade. The drawback is you may need to activate the software again when you run the upgraded version.
